the challenge we had to face in this project, was to use mass produced objects and bring them into a new context to make them a unique piece of limited design.
the project aimed to walk on water was carried out during a summerworkshop in poitiers, france.

when this trays is opened up the user is able to carry it with one hand. when closed it offers the traditional function combined with the usual compact size for storage.
this object combines a street light and public seats in a new and elegant way.
the idea behind this design was to make the process of measuring visible. instead of hiding the works inside a case, the user is invited in a playful way to determine the temperature by rolling a ball over two bimetal bars. the bars diverge and the ball falls sooner or later, depending on the given temperature.
