the conversion of nurbs-files into a stl-file for rapid prototyping split the surface into thousands of small polygons. instead of choosing a high resolution, i reduced the number of polygons and created a vase with an abstract and unique appearance.
building a bridge with the characteristics of plastic was the challenge we had to solve for this project. interpreting the molecular structure, we designed an element which coupled together build a very flexible but durable structure.
this bag serves two different purposes. first, it can be used as a normal shopping bag, that can be transferred into a shopping cart and more importantly to the neck rest of a seat, preventing the tumbling of its content. second it can be used as a storage bag for supporting oversized items by contracting the back, preventing breaking the front window in case of an abrupt stop.
